An executive of the group stated that thyssenkrupp’s steel operations in Europe are likely to be integrated with Tata Steel in the near future, while its automotive division may shift focus from the conventional automobile industry to the electric vehicle sector and achieve new advancements.

The Korea Iron & Steel Association (KOSA) is seeking solutions to pull the domestic steel industry out of its predicament by strengthening cooperation with Vietnam. On September 11, KOSA stated that it held steel industry talks with the Indonesian Iron and Steel Association on September 4. It also convened the first Korea-Vietnam Steel Dialogue with Vietnam on September 8.

According to data released by the Indian Steel Association, India's steel exports rose 35.9% year-on-year to 923,000 tonnes in August, hitting the highest monthly export volume since the 2017 fiscal year (starting April 1). Industry insiders pointed out that the surge in exports indirectly reflects weak domestic steel consumption in India.
